Responsible sale of alcohol - Pakjedeal
Responsible alcohol sales are very important to Pakjedeal. Pakjedeal does not want to deliver alcohol to people under the age of eighteen when ordering.
This document, the guaranteed method, describes how Pakjedeal implements responsible distance selling. In other words, how the age limit at Pakjedeal is guaranteed from the moment of online ordering up to and including the moment of delivery. This satisfies the requirement set out in Article 20A paragraph 1 sub b of the Alcohol Act that a method must be in place to ensure that the alcoholic beverage is only delivered to the addressee's address (or to a distribution point) and that the age of the person to whom the alcoholic beverage is supplied is determined and that this method is also used.
This document is up-to-date and can be requested at any time. The document is updated at least once a year (following an evaluation) and with every change in the situation. The secured method describes:
- How Pakjedeal, together with any chain partners (delivery services), monitors the age limit from ordering the meal to delivery;
- How Pakjedeal ensures that the method is made clear and transparent to employees, own delivery personnel and/or others who work under the responsibility of Pakjedeal;
- How Pakjedeal checks for correct compliance with the secured method and how, following evaluations of the method, any changes are implemented.

Process (in accordance with article 5.2, section 1 under a and b of the Alcohol Decree)
- For online orders, the buyer must indicate that they are at least 18 years of age or older.
- For telephone orders, the buyer will be asked whether they are 18 years of age or older. In addition, the customer will always be informed that the person receiving the package must be 18 years of age or older upon delivery and must also identify themselves if requested.
- An age check will always be carried out for deliveries by external delivery services. The recipient must show a valid ID, in accordance with article 20 section 2 of the Alcohol Act.
- The Pakjedeal delivery service will check the date of birth upon delivery using the delivery details and the ID that you have ready. If you have already been identified by a previous check by the own delivery person and you are recognized by the own delivery person and/or it is evident that you are older than 25 years, this can also be seen as verification. However, identification at the request of the delivery person remains mandatory at all times.
- Delivering to the neighbors, or leaving alcohol without anyone being home, is not permitted. The package will be taken back by the delivery person. In the case of external delivery, the package will be taken to a collection location. Upon presentation of a valid ID, the package can be collected within a week, after which the package will be returned to the sender. In the case of own delivery, the package will be taken back and can be collected from the Pakjedeal store, or offered for shipment again. Shipping costs are at the expense of the buyer.
